FishHawk Ranch To Celebrate Independence Day On July 4th 2015

This post was from 2015 but still gets a lot of views so I wanted to update it for you. For 2018, per the HOA,  FishHawk Ranch is not planning to have official community fireworks. There are always unofficial fireworks throughout the community.

Below is a list of what is planned in the Tampa Bay area for the 2018 Independence Day celebrations.

Pinellas County

TradeWinds 14th annual Terry Cloth Tribute: The resort on St. Pete Beach uses 975 colored towels to create a giant 13-star flag mosaic on the beach. Hotel guests can assist in placing the towels on the beach to form a mosaic of the original Betsy Ross flag, and 13 younger hotel guests will pose as the stars of the flag. Construction starts at 9 a.m. and the flag will stay on the beach until 1 p.m., weather permitting. TradeWinds is located at 5500 Gulf Boulevard, St. Pete Beach.

Fourth of July Patriotic Picnic in the Park and Fireworks: The annual event in Tarpon Springs’ has water slides, lawn games, and more. The event is scheduled to run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Craig Park, Tarpon Avenue at Spring Boulevard. Fireworks are scheduled to begin around 8:30 p.m. and are best seen from Howard Park Beach.

City of Gulfport’s 4th of July Celebration: Kid’s Star-Spangled Banner Fishing Derby (8-11 a.m., 5730 Shore Blvd. S), Family Sand Sculpture Contest (10 a.m.-2 p.m., Gulfport Beach), Historical Society annual mullet toss (12:30 p.m., Gulfport Beach), Parade on Beach Boulevard (6 p.m.), fireworks (9 p.m. near the Gulfport Casino).

Fireworks Across the Bay Celebration: These fireworks can be seen along the waterfront in downtown St. Petersburg. Please be aware that no alcohol or personal fireworks are permitted. The fireworks are scheduled to begin around 9 p.m.

Fireworks at Dunedin Blue Jays game: Baseball and fireworks! See the Jays play the Tarpons then hang around for some post-game fireworks. The game is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. at Dunedin Stadium located at 373 Douglas Ave., Dunedin.

Clearwater Celebrates America: Come down and check out this family-friendly celebration at Coachman Park in downtown. It features music, food, drinks, local vendors, and activities. The gates open at 4 p.m with the fireworks scheduled to begin between 9-9:30 p.m. This is a free event. Located at 301 Drew St.

Largo 4th of July Celebration: Largo Central Park will have food, live entertainment, a pie-eating contest, and even the highly anticipated watermelon seed spitting contest! The fun starts at 6 p.m. with fireworks scheduled to begin around 9:15 p.m. This is a free event.

Safety Harbor 4th of July Celebration: This great event starts with a patriotic parade down Main Street at 10 a.m. followed by kids’ activities, live entertainment and food vendors at 5 p.m. Finish off the evening with some fireworks that are scheduled to begin around 9 p.m. This is a free event.

Pasco County

Sparklebration: The Pasco County Fairgrounds will have bounce houses, kids activities, watermelon eating contests, petting zoo and pony rides, hot dog eating contests, live entertainment, a food court, and much more. The gates open at 4 p.m. with fireworks scheduled to start at 9:15 p.m. Admission is $6; parking is $5. The event location is 36722 State Road 52, Dade City.

Hillsborough County

The Tampa Bay History Center celebrates Independence Day by offering free admission for Bank of America cardholders and $5 admission for all other visitors on Wednesday. The center is also extending their hours to 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. A reenactment representing American military history is planned to interact with guests.

Busch Gardens: will have DJ party zones and fireworks at Gwazi Park. Veterans get in free through July 4. Park admission is $79.99.

Tampa Red, White & Blue Festival: The annual event has a color guard welcome with the Shriners, All-American food court, patriotic costume contest, meet and greet with celebrity magician and actor Rashaun Hammond, live entertainment, arts and crafts zone, apple pie eating contest, carnival games, giveaways and much more. Located at Cotanchobee Fort Brooke Park, 601 Old Water Street, Tampa. Admission is free with advanced registration at cityfestivals.org.

Temple Terrace 4th of July Parade and Fireworks: The fun starts with a parade at 10 a.m. it starts at the corner of Whiteway Drive and Gillette Avenue. Evening festivities start at 6 p.m. on the first fairway of the Temple Terrace Golf Course; the event has food, local vendors, live music, and fireworks scheduled to begin at 9:15 p.m. Located at 200 Inverness Ave.

Downtown Tampa Independence Day Fireworks Celebration: The City of Tampa partners with the Friends of the Riverwalk to throw the annual celebration near the Tampa Convention Center. The fireworks are scheduled to begin around 9 p.m. with viewing all along the Riverwalk located at 333 S Franklin St.

American Victory Ship 4th of July Family Fun Fest: The World War II-era military ship hosts this Independence Day celebration from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. with music, games, beer and wine, contests, and more. The Admission is $13, and $10 for veterans.

Fourth of July 5K: Lace up your sneakers! There are 5K and 10K races scheduled at Al Lopez Park in Tampa on Sunday, July 1. There will be medals for all finishers, t-shirts, music, vendors, and food. Located at 4810 N Himes Ave.

Brandon Fourth of July Parade: This patriotic Independence Day parade runs from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. It starts at the corner of Lumsden Road and Parson Avenue and finishing at Buckingham Place.

FishHawk Ranch is planning on putting together a great event to celebrate Independence Day on July 4th. Please join me as we watch FishHawk Ranch light up the sky on Saturday night, July 4th, with a beautiful fireworks show in Central Park located in FishHawk Ranch West! The fireworks are scheduled to begin around 9:00 P.M. Looking for some food? This great event has that covered! Starting at 5:00 P.M. an assortment of food trucks that feature:

These food truck vendors will begin serving some great food! If that’s not enough, from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M., the hit band The Raydio Band will be playing all of your favorite hits! Please make sure you bring some chairs or blankets to sit on so you can just sit back, relax and enjoy the event!

Last but certainly not least please bring non-perishable food items to donate to Seeds of Hope. They are a local food bank serving the needs of the Lithia/Valrico area. This is a great charity that does so wonderful things for the children of this community. Please bring what you can. It really does go to good use!
