This quaint and historic community is located in the heart of old Tampa, near the majestic University of Tampa and just south of downtown. As one of Tampa’s oldest neighborhoods, Hyde Park boasts beautiful pre-1940’s architecture in styles that include Queen Anne, Tudor, Classical, Colonial and other revival styles. The homes themselves are a showcase of old Tampa’s classic charm. Many homes in the community have been restored and renovated. The Hyde Park Village offers more than 50 upscale shops, restaurants, and the CinéBistro Movie Theatre. For a great place to eat I personally recommend Timpano’s Italian Chophouse. The atmosphere is nice and the food is delicious. There is free parking in the parking garage. The Village resembles a European promenade, with tree-lined streets, colorful awnings, patio restaurants, and lush parks. The Hyde Park community dates back to 1879, and picturesque street lamps add to its vintage charm. Buyers can expect single-family home prices to range from the $300’s to over $2 million.
